PETERSON,  ROWAN, MAYNARD, LOVEJOY, WHITESITT
Anne Benson
My grandmother, Jessie May ROWAN m my grandfather, John Lars PETERSON, in October 1893 in Pipestone.  My mother, Bessie Iona PETERSON, was born 5 Sept 1894 in Pipestone.  They were listed in the 1895 MN state census in Trosky, Elmer Township.  My grgr maternal grandfather, Curtis MAUNARD, came to live with his son Charles Maynard, on a farm near Trosky, owned by Charles around 1894, after his wife died in Iowa.  He married again to Orpha LOVEJOY in 1895, and died in Edgerton in 1903.  I believe he is buried in Marshall County, IA, as his gravestone is there.
I am presently searching for my great-grandmother, Lucretia Maynard Rowan WHITESITT, whose last known residence was Sioux City, SD in 1904, when she married Grant WHITESITT.  I believe she may have moved over into Minnesota.

PHELPS, RIES, HALLSTEAD, HAMM, CHANDLER, ALEXANDER, BELTZ
Linda R. Romero
The only county that I know they were in was Pipestone because Clarence Leon HALLSTEAD was born there on August 12, 1896 to Theodore HALLSTEAD and Angeline HAMM.  I don't know where my grandfather Donald Harry HALLSTEAD was born.  It could have been Pipestone.  I was able to obtaina copy of a social security application for Clarence buy not for the other brothers.  That is how I learned their parent's names.  Clarence was the oldest brother.
Donald and his second wife Rose ALEXANDER lived in Brainerd in the 1940's and early 50's.  I don't know what county Brainerd is in.
Donald's first wife, my grandmother, was Merle BELTZ, daughter of Asher BELTZ and Anice Emma CHANDLER.  Anice Emma CHANDLER was the daughter of David Lumen CHANDLER and the granddaughter of Welcome CHANDLER and Amy Phelps.  That side of my family seem well research.  However, I am having problems finding out about Theodore HALLSTEAD and Asher BELTZ.
Donald Harry HALLSTEAD and Merle BELTZ had one child born in Jamestown, ND in 1918.  Merle died a few months later during the flu epidemic.   I'm not sure where they were living when she died, where they were married, or where Don went after dropping his daughter off to be raised by Anice CHANDLER and Merle's sister Helen.  Helen married Joseph RIES and lived her life in Hastings, MN.

Any information would be most helpful.
